Policies to help our customers relax and rejuvenate

Our policies help you know what to expect so everyone can relax before, during, and after their massage.
​Reservations
Your therapy times are reserved exclusively for you. We value your business and ask that you respect our scheduling policies so we can provide the best experience for all clients and protect our therapists’ time.

*Please notify the receptionist of any allergies or sensitivities to aromas or ingredients when you schedule your appointment.
​Online Reservation Request
  • Online requests are reviewed during business hours and are not guaranteed until confirmed by our team.
  • You will receive a confirmation text and/or email once your appointment has been approved and, when required, your deposit has been received.
​Deposit Requirements
Deposit requirements are established to secure appointments and minimize losses from cancellations and no‑shows, ensuring that appointment times are reserved for clients who are committed to their service.

Who must pay a deposit

  • Couple’s Massage: A $100 deposit is required to confirm all couple’s massage appointments. This secures the time for two therapists and ensures preparedness for your service.

  • New Customers: A $50 deposit is required at all Thai Wellness Massage locations to confirm an appointment. This demonstrates your commitment to the reserved time and service.

  • Existing Customers with prior issues: Any client who has previously no‑showed or canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice will be required to pay a $50 deposit for all future appointments.

Without a required deposit, your appointment request is not fully confirmed and may be replaced by another customer who secures the same time with a deposit.

How and when deposits are paid
  • Timing requirement: All required deposits must be received within 30 minutes of the deposit request (invoice sent) to hold your appointment time. After 30 minutes, the time may be released and offered to another client.
  • Phone bookings: Clients who schedule by phone will receive an email invoice immediately after booking and must pay the deposit within 30 minutes.
  • Online / platform bookings: When available, deposits can be paid securely through our online booking platform.
  • In‑store: Deposits may also be paid in person by cash or credit card at any store location.
All services require a credit card or gift certificate to guarantee a reservation. You will not be billed on that card unless there is a cancellation, late reschedule, or no‑show that triggers a fee under this policy. At checkout, you may choose your preferred method of payment and are not obligated to use the card on file.

​Cancellation Policy and Fees
Your therapy times are reserved exclusively for you. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance by calling the office.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice are subject to a $50 cancellation fee ($30 for a half‑hour session).
  • Clients who miss their appointments without any prior notification (no‑show) will be charged in full for the scheduled service.
  • Rescheduling less than 4 hours before your appointment is treated as a late cancellation and may result in forfeiture of your deposit and/or a cancellation fee.
When you miss an appointment, our therapists not only lose your business but also the opportunity to serve other clients who could have taken that time. In many cases, staff may be on “on‑call” status or may have traveled to the office specifically for your service, and this policy helps us compensate them fairly.

How deposits are applied, forfeited, or refunded
  • If you attend your appointment as scheduled, your deposit will be applied to the cost of your service.
  • If you no‑show, cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, or reschedule less than 4 hours before your appointment, your deposit will be forfeited and may be used toward applicable cancellation fees.
  • If you cancel or reschedule with sufficient notice under this policy, your deposit will be either refunded or applied to a future booking. Refunds are issued in the original form of payment (cash for cash; credit card refunds to the same card). Credit card refunds cannot be issued in cash.
Management reserves the right to make exceptions in extenuating circumstances.
​Pregnancy / Prenatal Massage

We do not offer this service to our customers until after four months (16 weeks) of your pregnancy have been completed.


When booking your appointment, you must inform us that you are pregnant. If we are informed of the pregnancy at the time of arrival, we reserve the right to refuse the delivery of this service as we will not have the opportunity to  plan the staffing for your service. Refunds will not be offered.

​Arrival to Your Massage Treatment

We recommend you arrive for your appointment 10-15 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time. This allows you the time find parking, complete the appropriate client form (new clients), change and prepare for the service. All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule and early arrival allows for a relaxed and unhurried experience. If late arrival is inevitable, your service may be shortened in order to keep on schedule reducing your original treatment time.

​Late Arrival Policy

All treatment sessions have a specific time schedule therefore we regret that late arrivals may not receive extension of scheduled appointments. In special cases, and when our schedule will allow, we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at our discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival. The original reservation fee will be charged.

​No Show Policy
At Thai Wellness Massage , we understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone’s life. Unforeseen events such as car problems, business meetings and children’s illnesses, are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling a massage appointment. However, we ask that you call if you cannot keep your appointment. Clients who miss their appointments without giving any prior notification may be charged in full for the scheduled service.
​Nudeness Prohibited
We require all customers to maintain clothes on during the massage. At no time should a customer become nude or naked. Underwear is the minimum amount  of clothing accepted in any and all massage sessions. Thai Wellness Massage and its employees,  maintain the right to refuse providing service to customer(s) if they become or/are nude/naked.
​​Informed Consent
Prior to each massage session, the treatment plan will be discussed with you. At your first visit with us you will be asked to sign the treatment consent form stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the professional massage therapy policies and procedures. Clients who we have not seen for at least a year may also be asked to fill out this form.
​Scope of Practice
Thai Wellness Massage therapists are Massachusetts’s licensed professionals and held to the highest standards of the American Massage Therapy Association.

Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client.

Massage Therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions. Our therapist may refer you to a medical doctor for diagnosis or treatment. Our services are not intended as an alternative for proper medical attention for specific conditions. Please refer to a medical doctor for any specific condition which requires medical treatment.
​Respect for Client Needs and Boundaries
Our Massage Therapists are happy to adjust pressure, temperature, musical volume, work longer on an area or move on if you request it.

The client may choose to: leave on as much clothing as needed for comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop massage at any time.

The client will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. The clients will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.

Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate.
​Confidentiality and Conversation
We treat all client visits and conditions as confidential. As such, we will not discuss your visit with anybody outside of our staff without your express permission.

You may choose to talk not talk during the massage. Conversation will be guided by the client’s direction
​Existing and New Medical Conditions
It is the responsibility of the client to keep the massage therapist informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., that the massage may be continued.

The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions.

For clients undergoing chemo and radiation therapies – Please note that we require a doctor’s note that states the doctor is aware of and agrees to the desired treatment.
​Gift Certificates
Gift Certificate are available for purchase at our website or in person.
Gift Certificate Policies
1.  A Gift Card can be redeemed to cover a portion or total cost of a massage service.
2. The customer must pay the difference in cash or credit card for services exceeding the amount on a gift card.
3. Customers can only use one Gift Card per person to cover a portion or total cost of a massage session.
4. Multiple Gift Cards cannot be stacked and redeemed to cover the cost of a massage service. 
5. Gift cards, identified by service type and length, can be redeemed for the amount stated on the card.
6. Gift cards cannot be combined with any other offer or discount.
7. Gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash.
8. Thai Wellness Massage is not responsible for lost gift cards.
9. Gift cards are nonrefundable.
10. Gift cards are honored when presented before the start of the massage session.
Gift Certificate Recovery
If seeking to recover a gift certificate that was purchased in store or online, please email admin@thaiwellnessmassage.net.
Resolutions are typically resolved in 72 hours and not at the time of service.
Recovery efforts are best effort and successful recovery results are not guaranteed.
If the gift certificate is not available at the time of service, the customer is responsible for the full service amount. 
​Cash Deal Promotions
Pregnancy/Pre-natal massage service are not offered in the Cash Only discount. 
Payment with Gift Cards are not applicable to the Cash Only discount.

Payment
Thai Wellness Massage accepts all credit cards, US cash and our girt certificates. Payment is due when services are rendered. If you scheduled massage leveraging the Cash Deal, US Cash is required.
